One of the most interesting places we have found for a good meal is this Thai place in calle Ocho located close to NW 17th ave (Click Here for exact location), the food is delicious and at an affordable price, dishes range from $5 to $14 on average but it is definitely an experience to dine there, when I mean experience its because it has its own set of rules you will have to be prepared for like
Rule number 1: You write your name and size of your party on the waiting list, the wait is aprox 45 min and the entire party has to be present in order to be seated, if not, Too bad you lost your turn…lol
Rule number 2: You can only order once, yes you heard me, when the waiter takes your order you have only one shot to order everything you intend to eat (food wise) if you have a craving for more food in the middle of your meal you will have to do the line again and wait for your turn, and yes they are serious about this.
Rule number 3: No take out, you cannot order to go, what you can do is order like if you were going to eat the food on location, but then order to take the leftovers home.
Once you’ve eaten here a couple of times you will get used to the dynamics of the place.

Crispy mushrooms are a good starter, just to compensate for the wait while the main courses come in.
Tom Ka soup
This soup is AMAZING, it is a very different flavor made with chicken and coconut milk, a very different and new flavor for your taste buds worth trying out.
The Phanang Curry
A little more on the spicy side this soup is delicious and has climbed to one of my top 10 fav dishes of the moment, made with your choice of Chicken or shrimp, with coconut milk and curry, this dish is truly delicious.
Chicken Pad Thai
If you like Thai noodles then this is the dish for you,
Lung yai has many options to choose from and dishes that are not even on the menu like the duck basil, which is worth having if you enjoy duck.
So do not doubt in giving Lung Yai a try, your taste buds will not regret it and you will come back for more, trust me on this…
