Akashi
One of our favorite Sushi spots in Miami is Akashi. when you look for fancy, sometimes flavor is the sacrifice, well Akashi sushi has the flavor down to every bite. I will say its a great place to have tasty Sushi and trust us, we’ve been around.
Akashi has several locations in the Miami area you can find them in 5830 S Dixie Hwy, South Miami, FL 33143 or in 3444 Main Highway Coconut Grove, FL 33133 and they recently opened a location in Brickell.
Most of the times we go to Akashi its filled with University of Miami students, specially in their Coral Gables location so Its a cool student environment

A dish we always order when we come across it is the Tuna Tartare, but out of all the spots in Miami the Akashi tuna tartare is the one we like the most, not because of anything elaborate but because its just right in the balance of flavors and mixture, a recommendation that you should not miss if you like tuna tartare
They have good edamame , which is pretty similar in japanese dinning
Their Ginger salad and Miso soup are delicious, worth trying out before your main course
We recommend many of their rolls, our favorites are the Dragon Roll, the Rob Roll or a good Mermaid Roll, and the Part Time Roll is at the top of our list, many of their rolls come with a crunch on top which always adds to the greatness and a little bit of eel sauce makes it just perfect.
A great thing about their sushi Rolls is the size of the bite, for some reason its just right, not too big and not too small, I guess this adds to the flavor in some way.
We also like that in Akashi they are open to modifying your order, I like to order the rainbow roll with brown rice adding the crunch and eel sauce.
You can end your meal with some tai doughnuts and you will go home satisfied and wanting to come back.
This is our favorite sushi place.
