Art Basel Miami is one of the hottest events that you can attend to if you are an art lover and really want to broaden your appreciation of new or established artists. Art Basel Miami week attracts thousands of visitors every year from many different national and international locations and based on the growth we’ve seen of the event in the last couple of years , it looks like it is only getting better , in popularity and most importantly in the quality of the artists and their paintings, giving art lovers a great option to look at new pieces, decorators can find a great variety of sculptures and paintings for their spaces, and art collectors can find artists and pieces worth investing. (One of the pieces we loved by UNICEF Artist)

Today we are zooming into to of the Miami Art Basel exhibitions, Red Dot and Spectrum

Red Dot is a juried, contemporary art show in the heart of Miami featuring an international slate of galleries showcasing over 500 leading contemporary artists, and includes Art Labs, events, and informative Art Talks focused on collecting. Now in its 11th year, the five-day event attracts over 30,000 visitors, a majority of whom are high-net-worth collectors located Miami’s Arts and Entertainment District it takes place in a 55,000-square-foot structure adjacent to Spectrum Miami and includes top emerging and established galleries from around the world, selected and approved by the Red Dot Curatorial Board. featuring 50+ international galleries exhibiting paintings, sculpture, photography, and secondary market works.

Spectrum is also a a juried, contemporary art show located next to Red Dot so you can check out “two in one”, featuring an international slate of artists and galleries, and as it is described “It’s where contemporary meets extraordinary”, featuring Art Labs, Art Talks, Meet the Artist sessions, music, entertainment, and other special events.

Here are some of the pieces we personally liked from the shows there are obviously to many and beauty always varies with personal taste or like they say, taste is like a belly buttons, everyone has a different one, so we are sharing some of the pieces we liked and hope you enjoy checking them out

 

We entered the exhibit and first thing we saw were these Buddha’s with coolness by Metis Atash, the coscious mind, car paint on fiber glass inspired by Yayoi Kusama for $16.5K

 

They had different versions we thought were worth sharing

These paintings by Rebecca Molayem we found beautiful “Girl in a yellow Dress” Acrylic on Canvas 36X48 in for 4.5K

We are personally horse lovers so this one caught our attention by Gino Hollander

This next one made me laugh for a while…

This series we found very entertaining and affordable, prices were around $500 dollars per impression and $4.5K for acrylics on canvas

Flower and rose heads were cool

 

 

Every artist has a vision of the world and we can see that in this painting with butterflies which we consider as a gorgeous concept

 

 

 

This following piece we found to be very symbolic, the eternal soul that we all have inside leaving the body cocoon behind… very cool

Some other cool paintings we came across… the following was made by the artist to honor his grandfather the piece called “Me Imagino un Arce” by Eddy Maikel Sotomayor 90.5×55 in for 7K oil on Canvas

 

This painting captivated and caught our attention, the eyes… Mar Marin Leal “Abre Los Ojos”, 2015 Oil on Canvas 28.74 x 23.62 in $3.2K nice piece

 

This following golfer is a fantastic and beautiful painting with a lot of movement, loved it Nadya Milos “Golf in the Rain” 35×47 in Oil on canvas from Larus Gallery

 

we liked this picture and wondered where this could have been taken, a beautiful setting

 

A painting that says a lot about dancing in a cool image “Put on your Dancing Shoes” $1.48K

 

Van Gogh the artist who represents true love for art, dyeing without knowing he would become such an important artist…
