A Nice hotspot for a good date and a meal in the midtown area is definitely Sugarcane
The Miami midtown area has been developing a lot in the past years and a series of new stores, bars and restaurants have made the area flourish in a very nice way.
Today we will be zooming into our latest visit at Sugarcane.
Upon our arrival we were kindly greeted by the hostess who informed us of our wait of at least 35 – 45 min for a table, this is already a good sign because it tells you that the place is fill with people and well, they must be doing something right.
We decided to head for the bar, which has an interesting feature, half of the bar serves the crowd outside, more of the we are here to have a drink and stand if we have to crowd, and then there is the inside half of the bar where we saw mostly couples which may have been on a friendly date or just there to start their night before going to a club.
We ordered a glass of house Pinot Noir from the Bartender Peter, a nice glass although I wouldn’t say their house choice was one of the best I had, a good wine but nothing memorable, fortunately the bartender was nice and the environment made it a nice glass of wine to drink.
After our wait for aprox 35 minutes which went flying thanks to the nice environment we received a phone call and a text to move to our table.
Looking at the menu we saw many good dishes but decided to go for a couple that grabbed our attention.
The first was a Sushi Roll called the maine lobster “BLT” a nice blend of lobster and bacon, a sushi roll we would encourage you to try out,
Another dish that caught our attention was the “Duck Waffle” crispy confit with a duck egg on top and a delicious mustard maple, this dish made our list of favorites, definitely delicious and something worth trying out at Sugarcane.
Both dishes were delicious and worth a shot if you’re ever decide to stop by the midtown area
We finished up our meal with a delicious nutella sundae, a great blend of nutella ice cream, nutella hazelnut brownie and cracker jacks and we were very happy with our choices and would not think twice about going back to Sugarcane to have a nice drink and Meal
In summary for a good cost/benefit we had a great time (you can check the menu and prices By clicking HERE ), a very nice meal and surrounded in an environment of beautiful people, Sugarcane is one of the hotspots in Midtown, whether you want to have a drink and meet nice people at the bar, or if you are planning on going on a date or out on the town with friends, I would recommend sugarcane as a nice place to start your evening.
